Follow Jesus, Prevent AIDS: The Biblical Basis for Sexual Abstinence to Avoid AIDS
SummaryText
Compiled by Dr. K. Syam Kumar of India's Mission Hospital and authorised by the Foreign Mission Board of the Apostolic Lutheran Church of America, this booklet presents the Biblical basis for sexual abstinence to help reduce the rate of HIV/AIDS. Its primary purpose is to help provide an understanding of the cause of HIV/AIDS and its impact on the human body and society, in part by offering instructions and relevant passages from the Bible. It presents abstinence as a solution to AIDS, as well as an act of love. Also, the book instructs readers to show compassion to all who are suffering with HIV/AIDS, and to take care of those who become orphans as a result of this disease.
Initially published in English, the booklet has been translated into 22 of India's languages.
