Why “utilization focused communication” is not an oxymoron

Utilization focused communication
you have very well brought out the highlights of the learning from the action research project on UFE woven into the evaluation & communication. I also agree with your conclusion of 'communication focused evaluation is not oxymoron'. It led me also to thing of your book on communication for Another Development (by the way I am half way through with that) where I liked your argument on the genuine meaning for communication as 'listening' and 'telling' where you also syncronise it with 'searchers' and 'planners' respectively. Having imprssed with this reflection I am just wondering that before you concluded on 'communication focused evaluation is not oxymoron' whether it would have been much more revealing if the essence of 'communication for another development' was also captured. the essence of communication for another development
Chella: indeed it would have been a good addition, only that I am not sure I could have summarized it to fit into a short blog!
