Positive Women's Network
Positive Women's Network is a non-governmental organisation for women living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Its purpose is to make known the services provided in the field of HIV/AIDS and it provides information with regards to access care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa.
Communication Strategies
The organisation provides service to South Africans by aiming to improve the quality of life for those living with HIV/AIDS. The organisation serves as a support network and an outlet for women to articulate their feelings and needs regarding their HIV status and subsequently design ‘positive’ projects for themselves. Positive Women's Network hopes to harness and build resources to empower infected and affected people and communities to respond more effectively to socio-economic and political challenges resulting from HIV/AIDS in the country. The network plans and manages care and support programmes that will improve the quality of life of infected and affected women and children in the communities.
