The Southern Africa HIV and AIDS Information Dissemination Service (SAfAIDS) has developed a comprehensive and integrated workplace wellness toolkit that addresses sexual and reproductive health and rights, mother and child health, HIV and AIDS, and tuberculosis. The toolkit was created as part of SAfAIDS’ regional initiative to support companies and organisations to set up and implement their workplace wellness programmes in Africa.
The toolkit consists of the following booklets:
- Know Much More About HIV: Staying positive and healthy in the workplace -This booklet is about keeping healthy and able to work. It’s written for men and women of all ages, and all sexualities, working in southern Africa.
- Know Much More About Sexual and Reproductive Health: Staying positive and healthy in the workplace - This booklet provide information, education, and services relating to sexual and reproductive health (SRH).
- Men are Protectors: Preventing HIV & GBV: Know Much More About HIV Prevention and Wellness Promotion in the World of Work -The information in this booklet is designed to be used by individual employees, their partners, spouses and families, and as a resource tool for Peer Educators and those directly involved in implementing workplace programmes in their organisations and companies, particularly when working with men on understanding sexuality and addressing the twin epidemics of HIV and GBV.
- Know Much More About Advocating for Wellness in the Workplace: Staying positive and staying healthy in the workplace -The booklet has been designed for use by employees and workplace wellness focal persons, as a tool to support advocacy to improve the workplace response to managing HIV and enhancing wellness. It provides practical tips and advice for increasing awareness about the need for an effective workplace wellness programme, and improving HIV and wellness services for employees.
